Mother Nature has not been kind to the racers and fans at the Chateau Raceway in 2010. After four of the first six nights were weathered out, she provided a picture perfect evening for night number three.

Mother Nature delayed the start of the 2009 racing season at the Chateau Raceway and she ended it early as well. Track officials will now go to work on making plans for the 2010 season next spring.

The USRA Modified drivers were gunning for a $1,500 first-place paycheck, and second place in the feature was a cool $1,000 with $100 to start.

It was a hot muggy night for week 15 or racing action at Chateau Raceway powered by Miner's Outdoor Power & Rec. It was also a night of domination as five of the seven classes saw drivers pull off sweeps.

This Friday, Aug. 14, Chateau Raceway would like to show their appreciation to all of the fans that supported them through the 2009 season. In doing so, they are lowering their grandstand admit price to $8 and kids 12 and under will be free on the 14th.

Shortly after the pits were thinned out, however, some light showers hit some folks as they were leaving the track but Mother Nature held off just long enough to allow the action to be completed.
