Four first-time national champions in four divisions have been crowned for 2013 in the USRA Weekly Racing Series.

Rules for the 2014 USRA Weekly Racing Series are complete and are available on the USRA website, officials from the United States Racing Association announced today.

Drivers in the two open-wheel divisions are locked in tight battles with razor-thin margins that will come down to the final night of racing while the leaders in the two full-fendered divisions have simply to wait until Oct. 20 to be crowned USRA national champions.

The USRA B-Mod feature started with a bang Friday night at the Chateau Raceway when Ryan Stebbins pounded the turn 3 wall and climbed on top of it before coming to rest in turn 4.

This week was the final points night for the USRA Modifieds on Leroy-Southland Independent night at the Chateau Raceway.

You could not ask for better weather Friday night at the Chateau Raceway.

Jason Cummins blew off the outside of the front row and dominated the USRA Modified feature while Dan Wheeler came from the second row to dominate the USRA B-Mod race.

The bonus climbs to $1,500 this Friday, Aug. 9, and when you add the $600 winner purse to that, it is a potential $2,100 payday for the USRA Modified feature winner.

A few light showers passed over Chateau Raceway while drivers checked in and fans entered the front gates. It did not dampen things enough and racing returned after a week off.

The weather was perfect for R&S Racing Supply and Auto Value of Austin and Albert Lea night at Chateau Raceway. The kids participated in the second and final candy drop at intermission and set the stage for some great feature races.

It was a picture perfect evening for racing at Chateau Raceway for State Farm Insurance and Broadway Automotive Night, and another decent crowd was on hand for Ice Cream Night for the kids.

A huge crowd turned out for the annual fireworks night presented by Dahle Enterprises and Miner’s Outdoor & Rec.
