It was an eye-opening, jaw-dropping, ooh-and-ahh kind of night at Chateau Raceway on Friday. Not only did the racers provide excitement on the track, the always highly-anticipated fireworks night was on tap.

S&S Auto Salvage & Repair and State Farm Insurance presented a special Thursday night show to kick off the Fourth of July weekend at the Chateau Raceway with a season-high 100 cars and drivers checked in for racing action.

Early morning thunderstorms failed to dampen the racing action at Chateau Raceway this week. A season high 85 cars signed in on GT Construction and Broadway Automotive Night.

With the five to seven inches of rain that fell in the area over this past week, the race program at the Chateau Raceway was cancelled on Friday, June 20.

Race fans witnessed another wild and wooly night of action at Chateau Raceway this week. Seventy-six cars signed in the back gate Friday night and several first time winners took the checkered flag.

An absolutely beautiful night for racing graced Chateau Raceway for the 17th Annual Mike Guttormson Memorial. A big crowd was on hand and a great field of cars checked into the pit area.

The sun finally came out on Friday after heavy rains missed the Chateau Raceway on Thursday. It was a nice night for the season opener which had been delayed four weeks by inclement weather. Seventy-five cars were on hand and the fans witnessed some good racing.

After much discussion, we have decided to push the 2014 season opening event back. The new season opener is now slated for Friday, April 25.

Chateau Raceway’s annual awards banquet will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11. The night's events will take place at the Austin Convention Center at the Holiday Inn.
