After losing three of the last four shows to Mother Nature, the Chateau Raceway was finally able to get some racing done this week.

Mother Nature reared her ugly head again this week at Chateau Raceway. With severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings just to the west of the Lansing area, the races were cancelled late Friday afternoon.

Mother Nature evened the score at two on Friday as cold temperatures, wind and a bleak weather forecast forced the cancellation of the races for the second time this year at Chateau Raceway in Lansing, Minn.

After a rain-out last week, the pit area was packed with 104 cars at the Chateau Raceway Friday with Lucas Schott and Brian Schrage taking the checkers in USRA action.

The races for Friday night, April 13, at the Chateau Raceway have been canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions.

A cold morning rain followed with cold temperatures and wind forced the cancellation of the races at Chateau Raceway on Friday.

The Chateau Raceway opened its 56th season Friday with a large crowd and a packed pit area on a nice, albeit cool, spring evening. Ninety-nine cars were set to do battle to see who would be the first winners of the season.

The 2012 racing season at the Chateau Raceway will start on Thursday, April 5, with a practice from 6-9:30 p.m. The very next night on Friday, April 6, the racing action will kick off.
